Commercial Pilot Course

A Commercial Pilot Certificate is identical to your Private Pilot Certificate except that it allows you to be compensated for your flying. This Certificate will be sent to you upon satisfactory completion of your training program, a written test, and a flight test. Your new Certificate will indicate "Commercial Pilot" rather than "Private Pilot".

You must hold at least a Private Pilot Certificate to start Commercial training. You will need a minimum of 10 hours of flight instruction with an instructor and approximately 10 hours of oral instruction. You will need to have acquired 250 hours of flight time including 50 hours of cross country and 5 hours of night flight to obtain your Commercial rating.

You will need to be at least 18 years old to receive your Commercial certificate. You will need a 2nd Class Medical to exercise the privileges of a Commercial Certificate. A Commercial Certificate without an Instrument rating is very limited. The cost of Commercial training will run approximately $2,300.00.
