Our standard process includes a chemical strip, etch, alodine, epoxy primer, and
up to 3 colors of paint for your aircraft. Additional customization of painting
detail can also be quoted, your imagination is the only limit to what we can do
with your aircraft refinishing!
Our paint job also includes a full paint of the prop, landing gear, walkway, steps,
wheels, and brake calipers. All controls will be removed, refinished, balanced,
and reinstalled in accordance with FAA approved service information. Our painters
are all Licensed AP Mechanics along with being experienced painters. This guarantees
that the individuals working on your aircraft are familiar with how an aircraft should
be handled and put back together after your refinishing job is completed.
Down time for an aircraft painting process is typically 3 weeks unless there is
substantial body work or unique painting requirements for the specific aircraft.
Our standard painting process uses DuPont Imron paint. We have had excellent success
with this paint and mix our own paint tints on site. This allows us to provide accurate
information for the future should you ever need to have paint mixed again for a touch-up
in the unfortunate event of hanger rash or any other need for painting touch-ups.
Our staff does have experience with other types of paint and can upon request use other
types.
At Dodgen Aircraft we stand behind our work. Once your aircraft has been painted and
left our shop, we warranty our work against any defects for 2 years.
Please call us for a risk-free quote or feel free to stop in and see what jobs we have
in process and have us look at your aircraft to develop a full quote to paint your aircraft.
