Aviation Weather Advisory Issuances

Airmet - Issued weather information typically pertinent to smaller aircraft. Will include information on moderate icing and turbulence, ceilings, etc. There are three types:

- Zulu - Icing or Freezing information.
- Tango - Turbulence, Surface Winds, and Low Level Wind Sheer information.
- SIERRA - Instrument conditions forecasted.

Sigmet - Hazardous weather information pertinent to all aircraft. Includes turbulence, severe icing, lowceilings, and low-level wind shear.
