May 6th the Allegan Airport will close for
the runway construction project. The closure will be
in effect until July 25th.
These efforts will include the complete
closure of the Airport for the removal and rebuilding of a
new ramp, taxiway, runway, and runway lighting facilities.
When completed the runway will be a 11/29 runway that will
be 4300' in length (800' longer than the current 3500'
runway). This is an exciting project that we are all
looking forward to, but also realize will come with some
degree of inconvenience for the users of the Allegan
Airport.
